Welcome to ADHD Chat (“the App”). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our services, including any AI-driven features, scheduling tools, and integrations with third-party services such as Google Calendar. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Overview of the Service
ADHD Chat is a web-based assistant designed to help users with ADHD and executive functioning challenges. It provides:
- AI-guided conversations and reflections
- Time management and scheduling support
- Integration with Google Calendar (with your permission)
- Tools based on psychological principles (e.g. CBT, ACT)
This App is intended for general wellbeing and support purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice or psychological treatment.
2. Eligibility
To use the App, you must:
- Be at least 13 years of age
- Have a valid Google account to log in
- Accept and comply with these Terms
If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
3. Account and Login
You log in using Google OAuth. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Any activity that occurs under your account
If you suspect unauthorised access, please notify us immediately.
4. Acceptable Use
By using the App, you agree not to:
- Use the app to promote or conduct unlawful activity
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
- Attempt to access data you’re not authorised to view
- Use the AI assistant to generate harmful or abusive content
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, including the app design, interface, and original materials, are owned by Insite Psychology unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, distribute, or modify any part of the App without permission.
You retain ownership of any content you provide (e.g., journal entries, inputs to the assistant), and by using the App, you grant us a limited license to use this content for the purpose of delivering and improving the service.
6. Disclaimer
The App is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. While it may be informed by psychological practices, it does not replace care from a qualified mental health professional.
Use of the App is at your own risk. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or outcomes of advice provided by the AI assistant.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Any indirect or consequential damages
- Loss of data or interruption of service
- Actions you take based on app content
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your use of the App.
8. Third-Party Services
Our app integrates with third-party services such as:
- Google Calendar (for time-based features)
- OpenAI (to generate AI responses)
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify users via email or through the App. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if we believe you are violating these Terms or misusing the service.
